Our Wildest Dreams
We are indie filmmakers, Susan Marks and John Kurtis Dehn. Our film, OF DOLLS & MURDER (currently in production) is an intimate look at dollhouse crime scenes. The enigmatic woman behind the collection created them in the 1930s & 1940s to train homicide detectives. Despite all the technological advances in forensics, the dollhouses are still used today. This indie documentary film will also debunk some popular crime fighting myths, while exploring our nationwide fascination with forensics justice television, and ultimately the stories we like to tell ourselves about death. The narrator is John Waters! When we're not working on this film, we produce, write, edit and direct various project. John Kurtis Dehn is also a musician, and Susan wishes she was. She writes screenplays instead. Susan also wrote the book, FINDING BETTY CROCKER and made the indie documentary film, THE BETTY MYSTIQUE. In 2009, Susan launched a new book, HISTORIC PHOTOS OF MINNESOTA
